- Is this a good way for me to get into the IT field?
- These classes are an excellent career path in the IT field. The need for good, well trained software developer and software testers is always growing.
- Is there an employment service after the training is completed?
- Since this was designed to be a training program to fill a gap in training there is no employment services offered as a result of the training. However, if you are in need of job placement services please feel free to contact your local One-Stop nearest you.
- How much of JAVA or C++ do you need to do this training?
- A basic understanding of Object Oriented programming will allow you to understand the examples given within the training. Many of these examples use Object Oriented Pseudo Code to help the student understand the core content being discussed.
- Is there any certification or certificate of completion/participation and if so, who from?
- There will be a certification offered by IBM. It is currently in the development stages, but will be available in December 2008. However, if you take the training as offered by either Northland Pioneer College or Mesa Community College you will be earning college credit while working towards a certificate or degree program.
- If I start the training and have problems, who do we contact for assistance?
- If you are taking the training via the self-paced online program and run into technical problems with the website there is a Contact Us page where you can submit your problem. If however, you are needing more content related assistance there is not anyone available to answer content related questions. We would like to suggest you enroll at one of the Colleges to gain the benefit of an instructor led version of the course work.
- I was laid off in California and am looking for work in Arizona, do I qualify to take the training?
- At first the training program was to be offered only to Arizona residents, but this restriction has been lifted and the course is now available to anyone in the United States.
- I have had JAVA classroom training and am looking for a career change; do you think I could do this program?
- If you have learned Java or any Object Oriented (OO) language you should have very little trouble understanding the examples used throughout the courses.
- It has been some time since I had taken computer classes (17 years); do you think I would have a difficult time?
- Depending on your area of training and work experience these classes could prove to be a challenge using the Self-Paced online program. However, the Colleges would be a great way of bringing your skills up to par.
- My son lives in Colorado. Could he take the training?
- At first the training program was to be offered only to Arizona residents, but this restriction has been lifted and the course is now available to anyone in the United States.
- I have never had formal computer training but like to work with them. Could I pick up JAVA or C++ while taking the training?
- This training program would be difficult to master while trying to get the basics under your belt. However, this would be an option that you and your academic advisor would have to explore.
- What kind of computer software do I need to take the training?

- An Internet browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or above, Mozilla 1.6 or above, Firefox 1.0.2 or above, Netscape 7.1 or above)

- I cannot see the material without scrolling right and left?
- The training program has been formatted using a screen resolution of 1024x768. If your screen size is smaller than this you will need to change it to eliminate the left/right scrolling. Your resolution is currently set to:
